This bill establishes assault of a law enforcement officer, firefighter, or other first responder as a deportable offense for non-U.S. nationals. Any non-U.S. national convicted of or who admits to committing an act containing the essential elements of such an assault becomes subject to deportation. The Department of Homeland Security is required to publish an annual report on its website documenting the number of individuals deported under this provision in the previous year.

Protect Our Law enforcement with Immigration Control and Enforcement Act of 2023 or the POLICE Act of 2023 This bill makes assaulting a law enforcement officer, firefighter, or other first responder a deportable offense.
